Chemeketa Scholars Steps to Apply

Step 1

All Applicants

1. Submit Chemeketa's admission application
   Make sure you indicate enrollment for fall 2022. You will receive information about your Chemeketa student identification number (K number) via email after completing the admission application. Even if you have previously taken Chemeketa courses or you are enrolled in College Credit Now, you must complete the admission application. You cannot proceed with the next step until this is completed.
2. Complete Chemeketa's placement process
   Chemeketa placement assessment process begins with this form. Submit the placement form early to ensure you obtain the minimum levels required for eligibility. This form will determine your placement in reading, writing, and math. Allow 3-5 business days to receive a placement response. You may be required to take an additional assessment. We recommend you submit the placement form by February 28 to ensure you have your placement prior to the application deadline. You will need to download your placement scores from your My Chemeketa account and upload to the Scholars application.

Step 2

High School Applicants

1. Obtain a copy of your unofficial high school transcript 
   Your transcript should verify a minimum 3.50 cumulative, unweighted grade point average and must include grades from the first semester/quarter of your final year in high school. Your transcript must also show your expected graduation date or class of 2022.
2. Complete and submit the Scholars application
   Upload all required documents prior to submitting the application. The application will be available March 7-11, 2022, 5 pm.

Homeschool Applicants

1. Obtain a copy of your ACT or SAT test scores 
   Your scores should verify you meet the required minimum.
2. Obtain proof of homeschool registration status through the Willamette Education Service District (WESD)
   Home School Confirmation letter
3. Complete and submit the Scholars application
   Upload all required documents (including placement scores and homeschool registration proof) to the Scholars application. The application will be available March 7-11, 2022, 5 pm.

Do not submit the Chemeketa Scholars application before the application period. Submit all application materials between March 7-11, 2022. The application will close at 5pm, March 11, 2022. Materials received after this date and time will not be considered. Only complete applications submitted during the open application period will be considered.
