Wi-Fi & Internet Access
Chemeketa Wi-Fi has been extended to specific areas of the parking lot at the Salem and Yamhill Valley campuses along with the Woodburn, Polk and Brooks centers and can be used by students staying in their cars and maintaining social distancing. Stay tuned for updates.

Internet service providers are making changes and extra accommodations to provide remote Internet access. For a comprehensive list, click here and scroll down to "How can I get access to the Internet?".
The McMinnville Public Library's Wi-Fi is also still active and can be accessed from your car. Information is available in this Facebook post.
Virtual Learning Center
The Virtual Learning Center provides a one-stop resource for online access to:

- Online tutoring
- Study skills workshops & services
- ABE/GED prep

Bookstore & Textbook Lending Library
Textbooks and other course materials can be ordered online with FREE shipping at bookstore.chemeketa.edu. There will be no in-person purchasing options. Questions may be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Textbook Lending Library: For information regarding lending library requests, returns, and renewals visit the Textbook Lending Library information page.
To assist Chemeketa students during remote learning, a limited number of laptops are available for students to use during the term. If you need a laptop or information about returning a laptop, please visit Laptops Returns, Requests, and Renewals.

Career Coaches are available, via remote access, to assist you with job search skills and strategies that enhance your workforce readiness. Remote Career Services are available by appointment. To schedule a Career Services appointment:

Counselors are available, via remote access, to assist you through academic, career and life transitions, as well as to empower you through knowledge and career preparation and personal effectiveness.
Counselors can provide personal, career, academic, and crisis counseling.

Enrollment & Graduation Services
Most services such as transcripts, registration and change of address are available through My Chemeketa or have a request form available on our Student Forms page.

Financial aid disbursement is occurring on the normal schedule for fall term.

Telephone hours (503.399.5018) are Monday-Thursday from 10am-5 pm. Phone hours for the first two weeks of fall term are Monday-Friday from 8am-5 pm.
Food & Essentials
To comply with the Governor's order, the on-campus Food Pantry is currently closed.

In Yamhill County, Yamhill Community Action Partnership offers services to help with food and housing:
The Oregon Food Bank website updates info on food assistance daily, but it's still recommended that you call the pantry or food site ahead of time before you visit so you know the procedures being followed.
For student parents, if you have children in the K-12 system and receive free or reduced-price school meals, you may be eligible for Pandemic EBT benefits. For details, review Food Benefits for Families during School Closures.

Virtual library services are available. Our electronic resources are always available 24/7 - https://librarysearch.chemeketa.edu and through the single sign-on portal. Math Hub Calculator Rentals
Many students will find that online calculator options will work for them during remote learning. There are emulators available that can replicate a TI-84 on your computer or phone.
Math faculty recommend the following options for emulators:
- Windows/MacOS: Texas Instruments TI-Smartview CE emulator (free for 90 days)
- Android: Wabbitemu TI emulator (free)
- iOS: Graphing Calculator X84 (free)

SNAP Recipient Resources
Receive help with tuition/fees, textbooks, transportation, and loaner laptops through the Chemeketa STEP program if you receive SNAP (Food Stamps), but not TANF (Cash Assistance). Schedule an appointment with staff to enroll in the program.Apply for Food Stamps by:
- Using the online application. If you need assistance completing your online application, call 1.855.626.2050, Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm
- Printing a paper SNAP application and turning it in at a DHS SNAP office
- Calling a DHS SNAP office to be mailed an application
- Visiting a DHS SNAP office in person to complete

Tutoring & Study Skills
Free math and writing tutoring are available by appointment via Zoom. Additional drop-in hours and subjects are available via eTutoring.Study Skills workshops offered live via Zoom will give you tips for success, including managing your time and success in remote learning.Check the Studying tab in MyChemeketa to schedule an appointment, connect to eTutoring, and see upcoming Study Skills workshops.

While the College is operating remotely, all Writing Center Services will also be remote.
For Fall 2020, the Chemeketa Writing Center will be offering virtual (video) appointments to help support student writing projects.
The Chemeketa Online Writing Center will continue to with increased capacity to serve all Chemeketa students seeking writing support.
